The only way is up for Zumba queen Jules!

Zumba teacher Jules Goodwin is looking forward to the stunning views when she takes on the National Three peaks for the Danny Jones Defibrillator Fund this weekend.

Jules is one of 22 walkers, who include Lizzie Jones and Rugby League legends Barrie McDermott, Terry O'Connor and Kevin Sinfield, aiming to climb Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon in just 24 hours.

"I love a challenge, and want to prove I still have it in me to complete something as big as this," said Jules.

"Secondly, I've known Lizzie for years, as she comes to my Zumba classes that I teach. I have followed her story, from her getting married to falling pregnant with the twins and then the tragic loss of Danny. She is an amazing lady and giving what she can to raise awareness I just felt compelled to want to do my bit."

A few years ago, Jules took on the Yorkshire Three Peaks. But to help with this weekend's adventure, Jules has been walking to work and back most days, which is a five-mile hike. In addition , she has completed a weekly 10-mile off-road walk and done some mountain walking, as well as climbing two of the Yorkshire three peaks for training.

Her fundraising effort started off by collecting sponsors and then selling badges, before she hosted a one-off Zumba class at her place of work, which raised a further £200.

Jules sufferers with travel sickness and is not looking forward to hours of travelling or the lack of sleep that will inevitably raise grumpiness levels in the group of walkers.

"It's going to be a fantastic experience and I'm sure we'll all work together to keep everyone upbeat and happy," said Jules.

If you want to donate to Jules's Just Giving page, all donations can be made here and will go towards the Danny Jones Defibrillator Fund.
